Because of Covid-19 social distancing orders, the exhibit will be hung at Town Hall but will remain closed to the general public, until further notice.

A virtual exhibit will be lauched 10am via facebook on curator, Marcela Slade’s page, Town of Carrboro website and Town of Carrboro Parks & Rec’s page. This virtual exhibit will remain on facebook even after July 31. I will post link here once it is launched.

Under normal circumstances the opening reception is held from 6-9pm in conjunction with 2nd Friday ArtWalk / Carrboro Town Hall: 301 West Main Street Carrboro, NC 27510

TGYE* the artist was born in Wilson, NC as Tigye Kofi Mukuwaan Farmer.

Raised around artistic parents, exposed from his travels to art in places like New York, France, and Puerto Rico, he began to experiment with different mediums and materials.

Influenced by the recent civil unrest and COVID-19 pandemic, he began turning his emotions into pieces of art.

He now resides in Chapel Hill, NC and is currently active in local protests advocating against injustice. He uses art as an important and peaceful expression that ignites the viewer to reflect upon themselves.
