Alderman Michelle Johnson, has a bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary, and her master’s degree in social work from UNC Chapel Hill. Alderman Johnson is currently a clinical social worker, dismantling racism trainer, yoga instructor, and an artist. Alderman Johnson was elected to the Carrboro Board of Aldermen in 2011. Alderman Johnson is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, and has been appointed to the Affordable Housing Task Force, Animal Control Board, Community Home Trust Board of Directors, and served on the Rogers Road Task Force. Alderman Johnson and her partner, Jeff, live in Carrboro with their dog, Bella.
