Town of Carrboro to Launch New Online Permit Portal

The Town of Carrboro is excited to announce the upcoming launch of its new online Permit and Development Portal. This online tool will be used to manage development review and permitting processes, allowing 24/7 online access to the public. “Staff have been hard at work developing this new feature to expand access to permitting processes and information” said, Planning Director Patricia McGuire. This online self-service portal features:

  • An integrated dashboard for monitoring development projects;
  • Payment options;
  • Checking the status of permits;
  • Scheduling building inspections;
  • Real-time notifications throughout the review process;
  • Online Permit Application and Plan Submittal;
  • And MORE!

The town’s online self-service permit portal will be launched in phases in order to strategically manage the system update.  Phase one of the online portal will debut mid-August 2019 with training and feedback sessions scheduled for August 1 and August 8.
