The Town of Carrboro conducted its first biennial citizen survey in October and November of 2016. The overall grade for the town was an outstanding A-. The survey was completed by BKL Research and Consulting.
The purpose of the survey was to gauge residents’ satisfaction of Town services and programs and to measure the town staffs’ effectiveness at achieving the Board of Aldermen’s strategic priorities.
Over 405 citizens participated in the telephone survey. Town Clerk Catherine Dorando stated, “The Town of Carrboro values civic participation and engagement. The Town appreciates citizens’ willingness to spend their time to answer the survey questions.”
Survey data will be used as a budgeting tool for staff and the Board of Aldermen in determining the FY 17-18 budget. It is anticipated that the Town of Carrboro will conduct a similar survey every two years in efforts to measure citizen satisfaction of town services, over time.
