All are welcome to join us for a teach-in on "Undocumented Students & Workers in North Carolina" on Wednesday, March 8th from 5:30-7:00 pm in Manning Hall Room 209. The event will include a panel discussion featuring:
Dr. María DeGuzmán, director of Latina/o Studies at UNC
Dr. Krista Perreira, health economist of migrant communities
Ana Sofia Nuñez, immigration attorney
Barbara Sostaita, writer and sanctuary campus activist
The panel discussion will be followed by a "know your rights" conversation for undocumented people and allies featuring:
Sejal Zota, legal director at the National Immigration Project
Fran Lewis Muse, director of Carolina Student Legal Services
A representative of the Office of University Counsel speaking on issues of privacy and immigration status
