    The Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department Drop-In programs allow participants the opportunity to play in an informal setting and to meet others of similar sporting interest. Groups are welcome to attend. Ages: 16+ (Experienced players 15&U are welcomed to attend w/ a parent)

    Please join the Town of Carrboro, UNC’s Scholars’ Latino Initiative (SLI), NCNGN and AT&T as we celebrate the first steps toward bridging the gap in the education pipeline for first- and second-generation Latino students. Come join community leaders and see how, through SLI’s eAdvising Initiative, these students are provided with remote support to aid in their higher education endeavors. When: Thursday, April 13th 5:30pm – 7:00pm Where: UNC-Chapel Hill Campus, Fed-Ex Global Educations Center, Nelson Mandela Auditorium (301 Pittsboro St.) Who: Everyone is invited to this Kick-Off Event hosted by the Town of Carrboro, UNC-SLI, and AT&T The North Carolina Scholars’ Latino Initiative is a project of the Center for Global Initiatives at UNC that seeks to create pathways to educational, professional and civic engagement opportunities for the next generation of Latino leaders in North Carolina.
