Approximately 10% of North Carolinians are living with a rare disease or disorder. Many patients undergo months or even years of suffering before they receive a proper diagnosis. The "See Rare Run 5K" is raising money for the National Organization of Rare Disorders (NORD) / Undiagnosed Diseases Network (UDN) Patient Assistance Program. This program provides financial assistance to rare disease patients and their families who have exhausted all other efforts on their diagnosis journey. The race takes place any time between Friday, October 5, 2018 and Sunday, October 7, 2018. Participants may complete the race anywhere of their choosing. The cost is $10, and all registered participants will receive a medal. There will also be random prize drawings throughout the registration period.
