ATTN: Artists and Creatives!
Each month, the Art Therapy Institute hosts 2nd Friday ArtWalk artists! Throughout the year, we showcase our clinical programs, individual clients and community based artists. If you are interested in showing your work, APPLY to be an artist!
Please include a brief artist statement/bio, description of your work, 2-3 images representative of the work you will show, which month(s) you are interested/available in participating, and contact information. The ATI Artwalk Committee will review applicants and notify artists within 4 weeks of submission with a decision of acceptance.

Artists from marginalized backgrounds are especially encouraged. We welcome submissions from any and all artists.

Join Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department and Oasis for POETS OPEN MIC NIGHT. This is a night where poets can engage with others and share the power and diversity of poetry. This event is staged to provide the venue for people to celebrate, to share, and to encourage the writing, reading, and listening of poetry.
As a part of the Pride Month celebration in the Town of Carrboro, feel free to come out and share related poetry with other local poets. For information on this program, please call (919) 918-7364.

The Board of Aldermen holds meetings on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Tuesdays of each month except for the months of July and August; the last three weeks of December and the first week of January. The 2nd Tuesday is used as a work session meeting for the Board of Aldermen and public comment is generally not accepted.
