The Town of Carrboro is committed to reducing community greenhouse gas emissions by 80% by 2030 using a 2010 baseline. We are making good progress but have more work to do to achieve these ambitious goals.
Between 2010 and 2022, the Town’s community emissions were reduced by over 30%. The two largest sources of emissions are transportation and residential buildings.
